This uses the team to start the defusing process again and again with the bear trap and then cancel it before the end. In this short moment then a second survivor occurs on the trap and opens the gate - each time a small piece.

Since the defusing of a trap takes only a few seconds, there is always a very small time window, in which the other person can safely occur on the trap.

Is that so wanted? It is probably questionable whether a bear trap should already be considered for other survivors as defused, although it is not yet defused. However, the fact is that this behavior has been in the game for years and allowed to help survivors by falling without triggering them. That this mechanism can also be used to completely open a gate has not been shown so far.

No matter what you think of it - the sole fact that it has worked without triggering the trap is quite exciting and ensures a deserved escape of the survivors.
